SymGym brought its latest prototype to mHub Chicago’s March 9 open house. SymGym’s Rob Quinn and Glenn Susz answered questions from members and visitors about the ways SymGym integrates the fun of video gaming and the benefits of exercise into one platform. Interested people were also invited to try a sample session.
mHUB is Chicago’s first innovation center focusing on physical product development and manufacturing. The doors opened in March, 2017 and the manufacturing incubator celebrated its one-year anniversary at its 63,000 square foot location in the city’s thriving Tech Triangle. Attendees included Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Lt. Governor Evelyn Sanguinetti, and U.S. Senator Dick Durban.
mHub offers 10 fabrication labs with industrial-scale equipment, including 3D printing, metal fabrication, electronics, plastic fabrication, and rapid prototyping, as well as a microfactory for small production runs. It also provides a place for inventors, designers, makers, investors, universities and mentors to connect. During its first year, mHub has grown to more than 650 community members and 100 industry and community partners.

TechCrunch Disrupt NY 2015 is TechCrunch's sixth annual conference in New York City. The format combines top though-leader discussions with new product and company launches. Morning executive discussions debate technology-driven disruptions in many industries, while the afternoons are reserved for the Startup Battlefield, where some 30 new companies will launch for the first time onstage, selected to present from numerous applications received from around the world. The winning company will receive a $50,000 grand prize and the Disrupt Cup at the conclusion of the conference. The conference is May 4-6, 2015 at the Manhattan Center, 311 West 34th Street (at 8th Ave.) Manhattan.
Hardware Alley is a celebration of hardware startups and other cool gear makers featuring everything from robotic drones to 3D printers. Hardware Alley companies (including SymGym) will exhibit on Wednesday, May 6th.
